Claremont Lodge Care Home Summer Fete
The staff and residents of
Claremont Lodge Care Home, along with some family and friends, recently made the most of what was left of the summer by holding a summer fete. While unfortunately the sun didn’t show its face for as long as we’d have liked, it thankfully remained dry allowing everybody to enjoy the day without breaking out the raincoats and wellies.
There was plenty of fun and games for everybody to take part in, including the opportunity for our residents to show off their athletic ability in The Pine Cone Challenge, as well as some fantastic musical entertainment. For those with a sweet tooth there was a wide selection of tasty homemade cakes that Paul Hollywood and any of the contestants on The Great British Bake Off would surely be proud of, on sale for the bargain price of 50p a slice!
There was also a book sale containing an assortment of fiction and non-fiction, ranging from Thomas The Tank Engine to Bill Bryson, with something there for people of all ages and literary tastes. Then to top it off we held a raffle with amazing prizes galore. The goodies up for grabs included boxes of chocolates, gift cards, plush toys and bottles of beer, wine & spirits.
