Jubilee Weekend Garden Party at Claremont Lodge
The recent Platinum Jubilee was celebrated with great fervour by the residents of Claremont Lodge Care Home as they enjoyed a fantastic garden party! With the Union Flag flying out front, the home decked out in bunting and crowns available for those who were feeling extra regal, everybody got well and truly into the Jubilee spirit.
The weather was lovely and the sun continued to beam down on the grounds of our nursing home in West Sussex all afternoon as the residents were joined by some friends and family for the occasion. There was a healthy supply of fabulous food and delicious drinks to indulge in, as well as more than enough scrumptious sweet treats to go around.
The woman of the hour, Her Majesty The Queen, even made an appearance! Okay, it was a life sized cardboard cutout - but we’re sure she would have joined the party had she not been otherwise engaged! A wonderful day was had by all as the residents raised a glass to commemorate The Queen’s incredible 70 years on the throne.
